Black Panther is more than a celebration of African culture. It is a celebration of gender roles in relationship with one another, tradition, and cracking through stereotypes.
A lot of people really have their eyes out for this movie, as it’s a movie with a predominantly African/minority cast for a high-budget movie. It’s a step against the constant calls of whitewashing over the recent years in Hollywood, but this is just one movie that just can’t even go near whitewashing. Just make fun of all the little things that people have assumed about African culture instead.
